Economics and Management
The aim of the 2nd year courses in Economics and Management is to provide students with the basics of accounting and financial analysis, business economics and engineering law. These courses are mandatory for all students.
In addition, some students may choose to take the "Management, Industrial Strategies and Innovation" elective module in place of one of the scientific subjects. This module prepares them for a career as a research engineer and/or manager, by concentrating on the links between science, technology, innovation, business and economics in general.
At the end of the year, the engineering students possess the knowledge and know-how enabling them to understand and oversee the management of a company or an organisation in its institutional and economic environment. They have also begun to develop the skills they will need to manage information, work and make decisions in a team or a network, communicate, describe, present, convince, negotiate, sell, undertake, invent, innovate and design.
