Automobile and railway transportation

Based entirely on current demands and requirements in the field, the curriculum directly reflects major trends in the vehicle development industry, and contains courses providing knowledge not only on mechanical sizing but also on new information technologies and embedded systems.

Maritime transport systems

The program provides the skills for the concept, design and management of complex marine engineering systems of virtually any type (high-speed vessels, submarines, aircraft-carriers, LNG tankers, offshore platforms, marine energy devices,...). Advanced operational knowledge in naval propulsion plants and power generation systems, as well as competence in naval systems safety and international regulations are taught.

Energy production and management

The program focuses on fossil fuels and as well as renewable energies, including the presentation of the used technologies and the tools used for process sizing. A second part is devoted to the appropriation of tools in optimization, operational research and decision support that permit, for example, to control the overall cost of installing a wind farm, or minimizing the design costs of gas or electricity networks.

Nuclear energy

The program provides the skills in the engineering and operation of nuclear systems, monitoring and manufacturing processes, rules and regulations, technical criteria and safety design. Courses include reactor physics, nuclear fuels and materials, fuel cycle, waste management and safety issues.

Offshore energies engineering

The program provides the skills for the concept, design and management of complex marine engineering systems of virtually any type (high-speed vessels, submarines, aircraft-carriers, LNG tankers, offshore platforms, marine energy devices,...). Advances technical skills for the exploitation of marine energy resources, from oil resources to marine renewable energies, as well as a global view of the economic and political framework of the evolutions of the marine energy sector are taught.

Optimization, Operational Research and Command of Systems

 

The program provides the skills for the design and the use of mathematical models in order to control and optimize a wide variety of systems, found in the fields of energy and transport. It relies on a high scientific level in order to solve concrete problems encountered in industry and services. Its main job openings are R&D departments of large companies, but, thanks to its multidisciplinary approach, positions in consulting and audit can also be applied.

Modelling and Simulation

 

This program provides up-to-date courses on modelling in physics, on the mathematical and numerical analysis of those models, and finally on their numerical simulation using high performance computing tools. Applications to various areas such as wave propagation and fluid mechanism are presented.

Quantitative finance

This program aims at training high level specialists in financial mathematics and financial engineering. Strong skills in mathematics, algorithmic and computer science are given to the student.

Robotics and Embedded Systems

 

This program aims to provide a strong specialization based on STIC (Science, Information and Communication Technologies) for complex systems, transport, defense or robotics.

Courses covers the fields of embedded systems and their physical implementations, of embedded software and its real-time constraints, design and validation, and of algorithmic aspects related to robotics, intelligent vehicles or perception.

Smart system : design and control

The objective of this program is to train non specialized engineers in the field of control systems. Courses will be devoted to multidisciplinary knowledge and skills from the following scientific and technical domains: computer science, automatic, applied mathematics and system engineering. Applications in the fields of energy and transport are presented.

Information Systems

The objective of this program is to train engineers specialized in the various aspects of information systems design, from their adaptation to the needs of the company, to the development and evaluation of their safety. This cursus proposes various courses centered on the architecture of information systems, programming, software engineering, and computer security.
