International Degree-seeking students in the "Diplome d'ingénieur" programme

Two options

International students willing to enter ENSTA ParisTech’s “Diplôme d’Ingénieur” programme with the purpose of obtaining the degree can enter ENSTA through two procedures:

  • Entrance into the 1st year of the programme through the French national Competitive exams(“Concours Communs”), for 3 years
  • Entrance into the 2nd year of the programme (1st year of the MSc. in Engineering) by application, for 2 years, with the following minimum conditions:

- Applicants should have completed at least 4 years of university scientific studies (240 ECTS credits) before the start of the courses at ENSTA ParisTech;
- Applicants should have a good knowledge of French (See Why study engineering in French at ENSTA ParisTech). An intensive French language course is organized during the summer prior to the start of the courses

The vast majority of degree-seeking international students at ENSTA ParisTech enter the “Diplôme d’ingénieur” programme into the 2nd year by application, many as exchange students from partner universities.

Students from partner universities who wish to apply to this exchange should contact the office for international relations of their home university.

Courses for the academic year 2012-2013 will start on August 20, 2012* for international degree-seeking students. The first two weeks consist of specific scientific core courses which intend to prepare the students so that they can follow the semester’s courses under the best possible conditions. They are compulsory for degree-seeking students.

An intensive French language course will be organized during the summer prior to the start of the courses. International students are recommended to follow this course.

* the date might change in the upcoming weeks.
