Getting there by public transportation

ENSTA ParisTech is located half way between two Metro stations : Porte de Versailles (Metro line 12, direction Mairie d'Issy) and Balard (terminus of line 8). Tramway T3 (Pont du Garigliano - Porte d'Ivry) stops right in front of ENSTA (Desnouettes stop).

From Orly airport: take RER B train (direction Paris/Roissy Aéroport Charles de Gaulle - any train will do). Change at Cité Universitaire for tramway T3 (direction Pont du Garigliano) and leave at Desnouettes. Alternatively, change at Denfert-Rochereau onto Metro line 6 (direction Charles de Gaulle Étoile). Change again at Pasteur onto metro line 12 (direction Mairie d'Issy) and alight at Porte de Versailles.

From Charles de Gaulle airport : take RER B train(direction Robinson - Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse - any train will do). Change at Cité Universitaire for tramway T3 (direction Pont du Garigliano) and leave at Desnouettes. Alternatively, change at Denfert-Rochereau onto Metro line 6 (direction Charles de Gaulle Étoile). Change again at Pasteur onto metro line 12 (direction Mairie d'Issy) and alight at Porte de Versailles.

Getting there by public transportation

ENSTA ParisTech is located 200 m away (see map) from the bus stop "Polytechnique-Joncherettes" on Albatrans line n° 91-06 which leaves from Massy-Palaiseau station fairly frequently.

From Orly airport: take the Orly-Val metro to Antony station then change for RER B (direction Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse), get off at Massy-Palaiseau, cross the pedestrian bridge to the RER C station and take the bus n° 91-06 in front of the station.

From Charles de Gaulle airport, take RER B (direction Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse) and get off at the same station.

Another possibility (a more sporty one): ENSTA ParisTech is about fifteen minutes on foot from Palaiseau-Villebon station on the RER B line. Climb the hill by Rue Elysée-Reclus up to the plateau, then Chemin de la Hunière.

Getting there by car

From southern Paris: exit the Périphérique at Porte d'Orléans, take A6a towards Lyon-Bordeaux, or from the Porte d'Italie take A6b heading in the same direction. Then leave the A6 for A10 (direction Palaiseau). Drive straight on at the Palaiseau-Massy exit and follow Saclay.

At the top of the hill, turn left towards Ecole Polytechnique, drive past the entrance of this institute, and continue straight on towards "Palaiseau-centre". When entering the built-up area, turn right twice and then follow the signposts for ENSTA.

From western Paris: take N118 from the Pont de Sèvres at Boulogne, exit at Saclay-Centre d'Études nucléaires, then go around the roundabout and take D36 towards the École Polytechnique. Drive past its entrance and continue as above.
