The Data Integration Group of the Integrated Data Systems Department
of Siemens Corporate Research has internship openings starting
immediately. In this position, the successful candidates will conduct
leading-edge research on emerging technologies, as well as develop
business-enabling solutions for our partner companies in diverse fields
from medical imaging to transportation systems to power generation.

Postion 1: Next generation biomedical data management and integration
platform
Responsibilities:
-Perform advanced study of biomedical data management and integration
technologies, such as biomedical data management, biomedical grid
computing, and semantic data management
-Design, prototype, test and deliver software tools and systems
-Report and publish invention disclosures and papers
Requirements:
-Java proficiency
-Strong Web development experiences with J2EE and frameworks
-Familiar with XML related technologies
-Strong background on data modeling and data management
-Strong software engineering skills
-Javascripts/Ajax knowledge preferred
-Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills a must
-English language fluency
Duration:
-Minimum of 6 months, longer stay is preferred

applications
Knowledge and skills required:
-C++ proficiency
-Knowledge of XML related technologies
-Knolledge of Web Services
